The purpose of THE ACTOR'S JOURNEY PROJECT
was to fill an enormous educational gap in the way
actors are educated. Actors learn everything about the
"art" and "craft" of acting and "performance
skills" - and
little or nothing about the inner workings of the industry
and the required "NON-PERFORMANCE" SKILLS that
enable actors to
quickly and effectively launch, advance
and sustain viable careers in the entertainment industry.
Because
of this educational deficiency, there is a 99%
failure rate of trained and talented actors assimilating
into the motion picture, stage and television industries.
The
Actors Journey Project was founded to produce
a pair of educational programs that would allow a
select group of 100 distinguished
and highly experienced
industry
veterans an educational platform to teach the
required industry-related BUSINESS and CAREER
DEVELOPMENT SKILLS that enable
actors to quickly
and effectively launch, advance and sustain careers in
today's
highly competitive entertainment
industry.
These are BUSINESS SKILLS that are not taught at
the schools, colleges,
universities and academies that
train actors in the art and craft of acting and
performance
skills
TWO PROGRAMS AVAILABLE:
"THE
ACTOR'S JOURNEY" is an Eight Volume -
10 Hour Long DVD Program that is designed to
educate adult actors (age 18 years old and
up).
"THE
ACTOR'S JOURNEY for KIDS" is a Five
Volume - Five Hour Long DVD Program that is
designed to educate the PARENTS of child
and teen actors (through 17 years of age)
Both DVD Programs were produced and directed
by Mr. Livingston through his Los Angeles based
production company, FIRST TEAM PRODUCTIONS.
